It depends on how you chose to see the doctor. For an online consultation, Dr. Manish's calendar opens as soon as the payment goes through, you pick a time, and your Google Meet link is shown on screen and emailed to you. For a visit to the hospital, reception calls you within 24 hours to fix a time slot, and you come in at that time. Either way your case ID and payment receipt are sent on WhatsApp, and it is Dr. Manish Mendpara himself who sees you.
How does the online consultation work?
It is a video call with Dr. Manish Mendpara on Google Meet, at the time you picked. You join from the link you are sent, on a phone or a laptop with a camera. Keep your X-ray, MRI or other reports to hand so he can go through them with you, or attach them when you book so he has read them before the call. If he needs to examine the knee in person, he will tell you.
Can I change the day, or cancel?
Yes. Call +91 2269980742 or message us on WhatsApp with the name and number you booked with. Moving your appointment to another day costs nothing. If the doctor cannot see you, or we never call you back to fix a time, your fee is refunded in full. The full policy is on our cancellations and refunds page.
Is it safe to pay online?
Yes. Payment goes through Razorpay, and you pay by UPI, card or net banking on Razorpay's own secure screen. The hospital never sees your card details or UPI PIN, and the receipt is sent to you on WhatsApp.
Can a partial knee replacement work instead of a full one?
It depends on how much of the knee is damaged. A partial knee replacement replaces only the damaged part and is used when only one part of the knee is damaged; the rest of your knee stays as it is. A full knee replacement replaces the whole joint and is used when the damage covers the whole knee. An X-ray or scan, plus a physical exam, shows how much of the knee is damaged, and that decides which surgery is right. If you have an X-ray or scan already, attach it when you book so the surgeon has read it before you meet.
Is cashless insurance accepted?
Yes. Cashless treatment is available with 15 insurers, including ICICI Lombard General Insurance, HDFC ERGO, Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Care Health Insurance, and 4 TPAs, subject to your policy's approval. The hospital asks your insurer or TPA for approval and the approved amount is settled with them directly, so you pay only what your policy does not cover. Cashless is for admission, such as surgery; the consultation fee is paid when you book. What does robotic joint replacement actually change?
The accuracy of implant positioning. The plan is made from your own measurements and the robotic arm holds the surgeon to it during the procedure. The surgeon still performs the operation. The robot does not replace judgement, it removes variation from execution.
Will I definitely need surgery?
Often not. A large share of joint, back and sports complaints improve with medication, an injection or physiotherapy, and those are offered first where they are the right treatment. If surgery is recommended, you will be told why the alternatives are not suitable for your case.
How long is recovery after a joint replacement?
It depends on the joint, your age and your general health, so the honest answer is that your surgeon will give you a timeline for your case at consultation, including when you can expect to walk unaided, drive, and return to work. Ask for it before you agree to the surgery.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Any previous X-rays, scans or reports for the same problem, a list of medicines you currently take, and your ID. If you have been treated elsewhere for this complaint, bring those papers too. It saves repeating tests.
